What is the definition of a Leftugee?

One who leaves a liberal blue state to live in a conservative red state (often) is doing so in favor of fewer regulations and lower taxes.

We have always been a nation with different values and beliefs. So when I ask what is a leftugee? People tend to look at me with dismay.

However, since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have seen a seismic shift in people moving to areas that align more with their values.

That was one of the main reasons that got me wondering if now was the time for my family and me to escape, flee, leave, move, or whatever term you want.

You see, my story is I decided I had enough with the state I was born and raised in, called California, and moved to the great state of Tennessee.

My core conservative values of faith, family, and freedom didn't align anymore with where I was born, and I was out!

According to an article in Forbes, America is on the move like never before. Some would say at a tectonic level, and for many, the driver is as much political as it is economical. The top five states seeing a mass exodus are all Democrat-controlled. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, California, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and Illinois lost 4 million residents between 2010 and 2019.  Conversely, a recent study by U-Haul reported that the top five states to see the most significant influx of new residents include the Republican-led states of Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Ohio, and Arizona.

In my book called "The New Cold War" Red and Blue America Divided, The Escape of the Leftugee, I write about a passage in the Constitution.

The Constitution says, “No state shall make or enforce any law which shall
abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall
any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process
of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of
the laws.”

This, my friends, is why I decided to leave the liberal blue state of California.
As a person born and raised in Los Angeles, California, do you think I wanted
to leave the beautiful state I grew up in?

After you have seen what politics and corruption can do to a place, you start
looking for a better place for you and your family. My conservative values
didn’t align with the state of California anymore.

You see, it all comes down to providing a better place for you and your family
at the end of the day. I needed to give my children a better opportunity to see
the rest of America and a chance to provide them with a better life. I’m just
outside Nashville, Tennessee, now, and I thank GOD every day for helping me
find the courage to make a move.

As a Realtor who has people asking me daily, how did you do it? What made
you discover the strength to pick up the whole life you had in California and
move? People say wow, you have balls, lol. No, I don’t; I did what was best
for my family. I didn’t want them to grow up in a place that doesn’t respect
family values, GOD, or law enforcement.
